Vice Chancellor for External Affairs, IU Indianapolis
Amy Conrad Warner is the Vice Chancellor for External Affairs and Community Engagement at IU Indianapolis. She oversees community and alumni relations, external communication and marketing, and special events. She also acts as a liaison between IU Indianapolis and local industry and government agencies.
Warner has worked at IU Indianapolis since 1985, when she took a position as Director of Special Media Projects. She obtained funding and managed campus initiatives to integrate technology into the classroom. In 1996, with the help of a grant, she started the Community Learning Network and served as its executive director until 2004. From 2003 to 2004, Warner also served as Associate Vice Chancellor for Lifelong Learning, developing comprehensive services for adult learners, creating new policies, and expanding online opportunities. Warner was responsible for championing the New Pathways to a Degree online learning program.
Warner serves on the board of directors of numerous local organizations including the Indianapolis Children's Museum, the Hispanic Business Council, and the White River State Park Development Commission.
