Indiana University Trustee, July 2011-June 2013
Cora Griffin was elected an Indiana University Trustee for the term July 2011 to June 2013. She is a May 2011 graduate of IU Indianapolis, with a bachelor's degree in Public Affairs Management. Griffin has held several positions in Indiana state government. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in Public Affairs Nonprofit Management and working as a resident assistant.
Griffin is a Bepko Scholar and 2011 recipient of the William M. Plater Civic Engagement Medallion. While studying at IU Indianapolis, she was active in student government, IU Indianapolis committees, and community service. In 2008, Griffin served as Student Government Vice-President. She also served a terms as President of the IU Indianapolis Student Activities Programming Board (2008-2009), the IU Indianapolis Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society (2008-2009), and the IU Indianapolis Student Foundation (2009-2011). Griffin was an Ambassador for SPEA throughout her undergraduate career. In 2009, Griffin was named a Torchbearer finalist in the Young Woman of Promise category for her commitment to community service.
