Professor of Marketing
Dena Cox, Ph.D. has been a member of the faculty of the Kelley School of Business since 1988. She became an Eli Lilly Faculty Fellow in 2004. In addition to teaching traditional courses, Cox prepares and conducts executive marketing programs for the Kelley School of Business Executive Education seminar series. She has won three teaching excellence awards over the course of her career.
Cox is active within the Kelley School of Business and the entire IU Indianapolis campus through her work on many committees. She has served as a member of faculty review committees, promotion and tenure committees, and assessment committees.
Cox is a widely published scholar. Before obtaining degrees in business, she was a cancer researcher. Now, Cox conducts consumer research on how people make health care decisions. Her research is funded by National Institutes of Health grants. Cox also conducts collaborative research with her husband, Dr. Anthony Cox (Kelley School of Business) and Dr. Gregory Zimet (Indiana University School of Medicine). She is on the editorial review board of the Journal of Advertising and serves as a reviewer for several professional journals.
