Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology
Elaine Cooney has been a member of the School of Engineering and Technology Faculty since 1987. In 2009, she was appointed Chair of the Department of Engineering and Technology.
Cooney has made a positive impact within the School of Engineering and Technology and at IU Indianapolis as a whole. Along with Ken Reid, she developed assessment rubrics for the School of Engineering and Technology. She has also served as a mentor for the IU Indianapolis Center for Research and Learning. Cooney focuses her own research on radio frequency, and is the author of several articles and books on the subject.
