Janice Farlow served as the student trustee on the Indiana University Board of Trustees from 2013 to 2015, while working on her medical degree. She received her MD PhD from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2017.
In addition to her academic work, Farlow served as Medical Chair of the IU Student Outreach Clinic in downtown Indianapolis. She also served on the Medical Student Council. Farlow is the first recipient of the Dr. Charles R. Banz Award for Excellence, awarded each year to the top graduate student at IU Indianapolis. She is now a resident physician in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Michigan.
