Associate Dean, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences
Joyce Mac Kinnon,EdD, PT is Professor and Associate Dean in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She concentrates her research on evidence based medicine, therapeutic outcomes research, and assessment of student learning in higher education. Mac Kinnon also serves as Director of Health Sciences Programs for the school. She is a member of the IU Indianapolis faculty council. Mac Kinnon was formerly Interim Dean, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
Mac Kinnon recently obtained a Fulbright Senior Specialist Grant to consult with the Central University of Technology in South Africa. She was previously an external consultant with the Central University of Technology, and will continue her efforts to help the university establish a culture centered on student learning and assessment. She began serving as visiting professor in January 2010. She holds a two-year appointment.
