Assistant to the Athletics Director, 1990-1996
From 1990 until 2002, Linda Carroll coordinated athletic programs at IU Indianapolis. Carroll was responsible for overseeing the student athlete welfare program, community service projects for student athletes, and the annual awards program. She also served as the liaison for the student-athlete advisory committee and oversaw conference championship events. As Assistant Director, Carroll served as the direct supervisor of cross country, soccer, golf, swimming, and tennis programs at IU Indianapolis. During her tenure at IU Indianapolis, Carroll was the highest ranking female administrator in the athletics department.
Prior to coming to IU Indianapolis, Carroll was the director of promotions for the White River State Park Games at the Indiana Sports Corporation. In 1997, she was inducted into the White River Park State Games Hall of Fame.
