
Robin Newhouse, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN was named Dean of the Indiana University School of Nursing effective July 1, 2015. Formerly chair and professor, Organizational Systems and Adult Health at the University of Maryland School of Nursing, Dr. Newhouse is a leading expert in evidence-based practice for direct care nurses and implementation research. As Dean of the School of Nursing, Dr. Newhouse provides leadership to the school’s faculty, staff, and students. She oversees the day to day operations of the nursing school and coordinates plans for future growth and funding.
Dr. Newhouse is a member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Research Council and chair of the Research and the Scholarship Advisory Council for Sigma Theta Tau International. She is also a member of the Methodology Committee of the Patient - Centered Outcomes Research Institute. In 2014, Dr. Newhouse was inducted into the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame.
