Sharon Holland, Director of Alumni and Special Programs, began her career at IU Indianapolis at the School of Dentistry in 1971, moving to the Alumni Relations Office in 1973. She works directly with the Schools of Physical Education and Tourism Management and Health and Rehabilitation Sciences on their respective alumni programs. In addition, she supports the Central Indiana Chapter of the IU Alumni Association and serves as liaison to IU Indianapolis Athletics. Holland is Executive Secretary of the Jaguars Letter Club - the alumni organization for IU Indianapolis athletics - and is responsible for the IU Indianapolis Athletics Hall of Fame recognition program. She also serves as the manager for all activity related to IU Indianapolis Commencement.
Through the years, Holland has served on a variety of University and Alumni Association committees. She was president of the University Faculty Club of Indianapolis board of directors for two years and a board member for seven. She serves as a member of the IU Indianapolis Athletics Advisory Committee, which has oversight responsibility for the campus's athletic program as well as intramural and recreational athletics. She is also a member of the Jaguars Athletics Club board of directors.
